Kempenfest 2025

Kempenfest is Barrie’s signature festival, celebrating 53 years August 1 to 4, 2025, located across two kilometers of beautiful waterfront.

This annual event is one of Ontario’s largest festivals, featuring over 300 artisans, antique and food vendors, family activities, a midway, and two stages with live entertainment along Barrie’s beautiful waterfront. 

In 2024, Kempenfest was recognized as one of the Top 100 Festivals and Events in Ontario by Festivals and Events Ontario.

Related City Services

• Barrie Transit is offering free park & ride shuttle service August 1–4, servicing the waterfront and park & ride locations. All shuttles are accessible and can be tracked on MyRideBarrie.ca.
• There are many parking options downtown and along the waterfront. Note, some waterfront parking lots will be closed between July 28 and August 5 to accommodate the event. A digital waterfront parking permit is required to park for free at specific waterfront areas.
• The Tiffin Boat Launch is closed August 1–4 due to the event. A public boat launch is available at the City of Barrie Marina (limited trailer parking).
• Community-use barbeques in Centennial Park are closed August 1–4 due to the event. Community-use barbeques in Tyndale Park remain open.
