The General Committee of the Corporation of the City of Barrie will hold a public meeting on Monday, September 29, 2025 at 6pm to discuss a municipal restructuring proposal.
The City is preparing a draft restructuring proposal to adjust the municipal boundary, to ensure that Barrie has enough land for homes and jobs. The public meeting will allow residents to provide the City with input into the draft restructuring proposal and will also fulfil the requirements of the Municipal Act regarding public engagement.
