Fleet Services
The City's Fleet Services team maintains the City’s fleet of over 600 corporate vehicles and major equipment, as well as numerous small equipment. The team consists of professional managers and technicians responsible for vehicle maintenance and repairs. Fleet Services (both the repair garage and administration office) operates out of R.A Archer Operations Centre, 165 Ferndale Drive North.
Since the City’s fleet is so diverse, the services the team provides are just as varied. The different types of fleet equipment maintained includes light/medium/heavy vehicles, turf maintenance equipment, snow control equipment, handheld motorized tools, and mechanical support for the Fire Department.
Services include preventative maintenance programs, inspections, seasonal overhauls and lubrications. The fabrication shop can provide general welding, machining and metal fabrication. Our personnel technical competencies must vary to accommodate the wide range of equipment. They are provided up-to-date training and are available during all hours of operation.
