TAKE NOTICE that the Council of the Corporation of the City of Barrie has passed By-law Number 2024- 060 on Tuesday, June 04, 2024 pursuant to the provision of Section 28(2) and (5) of the Planning Act, R.S.O. 1990 c. P.13.
AND TAKE NOTICE “that the written and oral submissions received relating to this application, have been, on balance, taken into consideration as part of the deliberations and final decision related to the approval of the application as amended, including matters raised in those submissions and identified within Staff Report DEV027-24”.
AND TAKE NOTICE that any person or agency may appeal to the Ontario Land Tribunal in respect of the By-law by filing with the Clerk of the Corporation of the City of Barrie no later than Wednesday, June 26, 2024 a notice of appeal setting out the appeal to the By-law and the reasons in support of the appeal. The appeal must be accompanied by the fee as prescribed by the Ontario Land Tribunal. The cheque is to be made payable to the Minister of Finance. The purpose of the By-law Number 2024-060 is to designate a Community Improvement Project Area and repeal By-law Number 2020-006 pursuant to Sections 28(2) and (5) of Part IV of the Planning Act, R.S.O. 1990, c.P.13, to designate the whole or any part of the municipality covered by the official plan as a community improvement area, which will facilitate an increase in the supply of housing units and rental housing units, and to accelerate the construction of new housing throughout the City of Barrie.
