The Barrie Transit Field Trip Pass Program offers Barrie elementary and high schools a convenient and cost-free way to transport students and teachers on educational outings. Each pass allows a class of up to 30 students and 5 adults to ride any Barrie Transit service, making it easier for schools to plan field trips without the expense of charter buses.

How to Apply

To participate in the program, schools can sign up online. The online form collects your school's details and helps you get started with program. If you have any specific questions or need further assistance, please contact Service Barrie at 705-726-4242 or ServiceBarrie@barrie.ca. Once registered, your school will receive instructions on how to access and use the passes.

Pass Distribution & Availability

Each participating school is provided with three Barrie Transit Field Trip Passes, which can be signed out by teachers from the school office. The passes are designed for use during the school year, covering all Barrie Transit services, including fixed transit routes, Transit ON Demand and Specialized Transit (for registered clients).

Planning Your Trip

Teachers are encouraged to plan their trips in advance using the Transit App! Please contact Service Barrie at 705-726-4242 or ServiceBarrie@barrie.ca with any questions or for trip planning support. We are happy to discuss your group’s travel plans to help ensure a smooth transit experience.
