About the Proposed Development

​The proposed Official Plan Amendment and Amendment to the Zoning By‐law would seek to redesignate the subject lands from ‘General Industrial’ and ‘Environmental Protection’ to ‘Residential’ and ‘Environmental Protection’ in the Official Plan, and rezone a portion of the subject lands from ‘Agricultural’ (A) and ‘Environmental Protection’ (EP) to ‘Residential Multiple Second Density with Special Provisions’ (RM2)(SP-XXX).

 The redesignation and rezoning would then facilitate the future development of 105 townhouse units with a private road connecting to the municipal road allowance to Loon Avenue, in addition to connecting the adjacent property known municipally as 521 Huronia Avenue, which currently has similar applications under review with the City (file: D09-OPA082, D14-1700).
