The City's waste collection calendar is distributed annually to Barrie residents. It contains information about waste collection, waste diversion, and environmental initiatives that support a circular economy. The 2025 waste collection calendar includes details on automated cart collection starting September 8, 2025.
The 2025 calendar was mailed to Barrie households in December, once Canada Post resumed operations on December 17, 2024. If your address is listed with Canada Post to not receive advertising in the mail, you would not have received the calendar in the mail.
The 2025 calendar features images submitted by residents to the #PictureBarrie photo gallery. They depict the city’s beauty year-round, from a frosty winter hiking trail, to a sail or paddle board on a hot summer night.
This year's photos are featured in the First Floor Gallery's current exhibition, which is on display during March and April!
