We use the "exact fare" system. Fares can be paid by cash or a pass. Transit Operators do not carry change.
Route 90 fares are listed separately. Sales locations for passes and ride cards are listed further below.
* Starting November 1, 2019, children 12 and under can ride Barrie Transit for free, and seniors 65+ can ride free on Thursdays.

The Township of Essa partnered with the City of Barrie for Borden-Angus-Barrie weekday transit service via Route 90. Buses travel from Barrie along County Road 90 to parts of Angus before stopping at CFB Borden. The schedule includes morning, mid-day, and afternoon service, Monday to Friday.
Travel from Barrie to Angus/Borden is a $6.00 (2-Zone) fare or a $3.00 zone top-up fare with a valid Barrie Transit transfer, pass or Ride Card. Travel from Angus/Borden to Barrie is a $6.00 (2-Zone) fare or a $4.00 zone top-up fare on an Angus Zone Fare or Pass:

Passengers can transfer routes at any point where two routes connect. Passengers must request a transfer when they first board the bus it they require a transfer to continue along their route. When boarding a bus with a transfer, passengers must scan the barcode transfer ticket on the fare box. If, for any reason the fare box scan option is not available, passengers must then present the transfer to the Operator unfolded and date-side up for inspection. Transfers must NOT be placed in the fare box. A transfer is valid for one hour (60 minutes) from the time of issue and is valid as part of one continuous trip from origin to destination. Please retain your transfer if you need to travel on multiple buses to arrive at your destination. Transfers are non-transferable and have no cash value.
