Barrie Parks

Living in Barrie is a walk in the park! The City of Barrie maintains 300 hectares of scenic park space. Please abide by park regulations.

Avoid crowds, wash your hands thoroughly and often with soap and water or use hand sanitizer, and stay at least 2 metres away from those not part of your household. Refer to the Guide to Safe Outdoor Activities During COVID-19.

Please visit barrie.ca/services for the current status of all City services throughout the COVID-19 pandemic.

Waterfront Parks Washrooms Open

Centennial Park & Heritage Park washrooms are open 8:00 am to 5:00 pm daily. The Southshore Community Centre's externally-accessible washroom (located near Allandale Station Park and Military Heritage Park) is open daily, 8:00 am to 8:00 pm. Washrooms at Tyndale Park, Minet’s Point Park, Shear Park, St. Vincent’s Park and Johnson’s Beach Park are closed for the season.

Drinking Fountains are Not in Use

Water fountains in select Barrie parks are closed indefinitely as we do not have the resources to continually disinfect them for public safety during the COVID-19 pandemic. Signage is posted on fountains.
