​Barrie Parks

Living in Barrie is a walk in the park! The City of Barrie maintains 300 hectares of scenic park space.

Please avoid crowds and maintain a distance of 2 metres from those around you. ​Refer to the Guide to Safe Outdoor Activities During COVID-19.

Closed Amenities in Parks

Waterfront fitness equipment, skateboard parks, tennis courts, basketball courts and picnic areas/pavilions are closed to public access.​

Some Washrooms Open; Others to Open May 1​

Centennial Park & Heritage Park washrooms are open daily 8am–5pm until April 30. From May 1 to November 1 they will be open 7am–9pm. The Southshore Community Centre's externally-accessible washroom (located near Allandale Station Park and Military Heritage Park) is open daily, 8am–5pm.

Washrooms at Tyndale Park, Minet’s Point Park, Shear Park, St. Vincent’s Park and Johnson’s Beach Park are scheduled to be open May 1 to November 1, 7am–7pm.
