Ways to Pay

We use the "exact fare" system; Transit Operators do not carry change. - Using a physical pass or ride card
We also offer special passes for youth and Georgian College students!
Transit staff work to inform riders of service impacts, and keep the public informed about initiatives and projects that support Transit ridership.

About HotSpot Mobile Fares
In addition to the sales locations listed below, transit fares can be purchased through the HotSpot, available for download from Google Play and App Store, or the HotSpot website. See instructions on how to purchase and activate fares.
All fare products are available for purchase through HotSpot, except for the U-Pass for Georgian College students. Fare prices remain the same, all current fare products are still valid, and all other existing purchase options remain.

How to Use HotSpot for Mobile Fares
Sale Locations for Monthly Passes & Ride Cards
Monthly passes are available on the 16th of the month to buy for the upcoming month. For example, a June monthly pass is available to buy on May 16th.
Monthly passes, day passes and ride cards are sold at the below locations, as well as on HotSpot:
- Barrie Allandale Transit Terminal, 20 Essa Road
The bus terminal is open for ticket sales 7am–8pm on Monday–Saturday and 9am–8pm on Sunday. - Service Barrie at City Hall, 70 Collier Street
Service Barrie is located on the first floor of City Hall, 70 Collier Street, open 8:30am–4:30pm, Monday–Friday. - Recreation Centres
Passes and ride cards are sold at Allandale Recreation Centre, East Bayfield Community Centre, Parkview Centre and Peggy Hill Team Community Centre on a walk-in/drop-in basis. No refunds or exchanges are available at rec centres.
