Paint cans—whether full, partially full or empty—must be taken to the Household Hazardous Waste (HHW) Facility at the Barrie Landfill Site, 272 Ferndale Drive North, open Saturdays, 8:30am–3:30pm. The City's Recycling Depot (open during warmer weather months only) also accepts HHW on Saturdays. Hazardous waste must not be placed curbside for collection or poured down the drain.
