The Lobbyist Registry came into effect on January 1, 2024, and forms part of the City of Barrie’s Accountability and Transparency framework. The registry documents instances of substantive communication — such as telephone calls, meetings, or emails — from a lobbyist to a City employee and/or member(s) of City Council.
Effective January 1, 2024, anyone who engages in lobbying as defined in the Lobbyist Registry By-law must register.

I contacted Alex Nuttall by phone and set up a meeting to discuss the 4 plex's. We looked into our plans and saw an opportunity to provide attainable housing for more people on 11m lots in our Hewitts Haven community. I met with Mayor Nuttall and showed him around our already built Hewitts Gate community to show how nicely our 6-plex buildings fit into the community. We then discussed the opportunity to do semi detached, triplex and 4 Plex homes and some of the zoning and legal challenges.
