Parking & Traffic Tickets

This page contains information about how to pay for parking tickets and provincial traffic violations.

Support a local restaurant to have your parking ticket cancelled

Residents who receive a parking ticket in paid parking areas from the City of Barrie can have the ticket cancelled if they provide proof of purchase (a receipt) from a Barrie restaurant in an amount equal to or greater than the set fine, within five days after receiving the ticket. The set fine is noted on the bottom of the ticket.

The program isin place for any period that restaurants are closed for in-person dining and restricted to take-out only due to COVID-19 mandates in 2022. The program does not apply to tickets related to safety matters, or overnight on-street parking restrictions.

To submit a request for the cancellation of a parking ticket, residents can email a copy of their ticket and restaurant receipt to enforcement.services@barrie.ca
