This item can be disposed of at the Household Hazardous Waste (HHW) Facility at the Barrie Landfill Site at 272 Ferndale Drive North on Saturdays from 8:30am - 3:30pm. The City's Recycling Depot (open during warmer weather months only) also accepts HHW on Saturdays. Hazardous waste must not be placed curbside for collection or poured down the drain.

Appliances Containing CFCs
If this item is usable, it can be reused or donated to local charities!
Appliances containing CFCs include refrigerators, freezers, air conditioners, dehumidifiers, water coolers, etc. Appliances containing CFC refrigerants must have the CFC's removed before disposal. This can be done at the Barrie Landfill site, 272 Ferndale Dr. N. The fee for this service is $15 per appliance.

Consider reuse or a donation to local charities. Please ensure containers are empty and if the item is small enough to fit in your garbage cart it may be placed inside for curbside collection. Alternatively, items can be taken to the Barrie Landfill Site at 272 Ferndale Dr. N for proper disposal.

This item can be placed in the curbside organics cart. Please ensure ashes are cold prior to placing in cart. Carts may be lined with newspaper, paper bags or certified compostable liners. Plastic bags are not permitted in the organics program.

Asphalt, in small quantities (approximate size of curbside blue box or smaller) can be brought to the Barrie Landfill Site located at 272 Ferndale Dr. N. There is no curbside collection for this item.
