Please remember to ensure your materials are curbside by 7am (4:30am in the downtown BIA) for collection. If items are not curbside by this time, the City cannot guarantee they will be collected. Routing changes that could affect collection times can often occur for a number of reasons including weather, road closures and vehicle breakdowns.

While Barrie is geographically located in Simcoe County, the City of Barrie is governed separately. There are some differences to sorting items for curbside collection in the County and the City as different processors are used. This item can be disposed of at the Household Hazardous Waste (HHW) Facility at the Barrie Landfill Site, 272 Ferndale Drive North, on Saturdays from 8:30am - 3:30pm. The City's Recycling Depot (open during warmer weather months only) also accepts HHW on Saturdays. Hazardous waste must not be placed curbside for collection or poured down the drain.
