The City encourages property owners to join the Pre-Authorized Payment Plan for a convenient, worry-free and secure way to pay property taxes.
For 2021 bills, City Council has waived late fees for property tax payments until September 30, 2021. The City is crediting any accounts that on March 1 and April 1 were charged fees on late payments for 2021 bills.

* If paying through your bank or mailing a cheque, please allow enough time for payments to be received prior to the due date. Payments made via bank may take several business days.
The PAP Plan authorizes the City to automatically withdraw funds from the bank account you designate to make tax payments. There is no surcharge for this method of payment.
Withdrawals are made on the due dates indicated on the
interim and final tax bills.
YES - Enrolment is permitted throughout the year. If your cheque and complete PAP Plan Application are received by the 15th of the month, your withdrawal can begin at the end of that month.

Subscribers to the PAP plan who have two missed payments will be removed from the plan. The balance of the taxes will become due on the regular due dates and subject to penalties and interest at a rate of 1.25% on the first day of each month payment is delayed. If any of your pre-authorized payments do not clear through your financial institution, the City will apply an administrative fee and penalty/interest.
Yes! The City’s bank handles all of the payment transactions. Access to your bank account is limited solely to the withdrawal of the tax payment funds as authorized. Account information of balances and other transactions is not available to the City.
