The 2026 Barrie Airshow, presented by Pratt Homes, will take place June 13 and 14 over beautiful Kempenfelt Bay. This year’s free, family-friendly event will feature an exciting mix of military and civilian performers, highlighted by a special twilight air display on Saturday evening and a fireworks finale.

A full closure of Mapleview Drive East between Chef Lane and Royal Jubilee Drive/Lally Terrace is required from Monday, June 8 to Friday, November 20, 2026. The closure is required to complete the Hewitt’s Creek culvert installation.

The City of Barrie’s pavement marking contractor has started the annual painting of road lane markings and arrows across Barrie. This includes white lane lines, bike lanes, and yellow centre lines and turning arrows. This work takes place each year to make roads safer for drivers, cyclists, and pedestrians.
Contractors will be implementing a full closure of Huronia Road between Lockhart Road to McKay Road from Monday, June 1 to Wednesday, September 30, 2026.
