As part of our commitment to embrace innovation and improve how we do business, the City's Bidding Process went paperless on October 15, 2018. This includes all open Request for Proposals (RFP), High Score Request for Quotations, and Low-bid Request for Quotations.
Documents are free to view, however you will need to register and subscribe to bids&tenders™ to download bid documents, receive notifications about new City of Barrie bid opportunities, and submit bids to the City of Barrie. Unlimited subscription to bids&tenders™ is $180.25 per year. The unlimited subscription provides access to bid opportunities for all agencies using bids&tenders™ in Canada. A one-time, pay-per-bid option is also available at $53.95 per bid.
Effective July 1, 2020, the City will
ONLY be accepting digital bonds. Scanned bonds will no longer be accepted effective July 1, 2020. Vendors are encouraged to contact their surety provider
well in advance of submitting a bid that requires a digital bond as the process may take several weeks. More information about digital bonds can be found on the Surety Association of Canada (SAC) website. Learn more.
