Paid parking in downtown Barrie is enforced 9am–5pm on weekdays; three parking pass options are available. In specific
waterfront areas, paid parking is enforced 24/7/365 for non-residents and is free for residents who display a Resident Parking Pass.
Between April 14 and May 14, 2021, residents who receive a parking ticket from the City can have the ticket cancelled if they provide proof of purchase from a Barrie restaurant in an amount equal to or greater than the set fine, within five days after receiving the ticket. The program does not apply to tickets related to safety matters. To submit a request for the cancellation of a parking ticket, residents can email a copy of their ticket and restaurant receipt to
