Celebrate Family Day in downtown Barrie with indoor and outdoor fun at City Hall on February 16! There's also a full schedule of drop-in activities taking place February 16, including some FREE drop-in swims, skates and Family Zumba at selected community centres! Recreation/community centres are open regular operating hours on Family Day.
Affected Services
- City Hall is closed for business on Monday, February 16, but the rotunda will be open for Family Day activities. The City Hall parking lot on Worsley Street will be closed for the activities on February 16.
- Barrie Transit operates according to a Sunday service schedule on Monday, February 16. Visit MyRideBarrie.ca to plan your trip.
Service Reminders
- There is no change to the curbside collection schedule on Family Day. Collection during the week of the Family Day holiday occurs as regularly scheduled.
- Downtown parking (on-street and lots) is free on statutory holidays. Waterfront parking is enforced 24/7/365. To park for free in select waterfront areas, vehicles must be registered with a digital waterfront parking permit. View the Municipal Parking Map to see parking areas and rates.
