The City partners with HotSpot to streamline parking within Barrie’s paid parking areas. Together, we provide convenient parking options. While we encourage everyone to use this app, all existing parking payment methods (pay stations, meters) remain available.
- Hourly parking in City-owned paid parking areas within the downtown, waterfront, and Gallie Court / Quarry Ridge
- Downtown parking permits
- Waterfront parking permits
- Allandale residential parking permits
No App Required for Off-Street Parking
QR code signs are located near each pay sign at City parking lots and the Collier Street Parkade. QR code signs allow smartphone users to pay for parking using HotSpot without needing the app. Parking staff are working toward providing the signs at all on-street parking options throughout downtown. Learn more about QR code signs under Benefits & Features.
For hourly parking, downtown and waterfront parking rates apply. HotSpot charges a $0.20 convenience fee (per parking session) to use the app for hourly parking and $0.35 convenience fee (per parking session) if using a QR code sign (available at City parking lots and the Collier Street Parkade).
